It appears that Gary Hooper may have turned down Celtic's final offer of a new contract after the club rejected a second bid from Norwich. The Canaries made their first bid on Thursday which was described by Celtic as 'derisory'. Reported to be in the region of £5million manager Neil Lennon claimed it was "nowhere near our valuation of the player". That did not appear to put off Norwich who appear to be still keen on the Englishman, who scored twice at the weekend to take his tally for the season to 20 goals. An increased offer for Hoper was submitted today only for it to be snubbed again. Goal scorers like Hooper will always be linked with a move to the Premiership and he and believes playing in England would boost his chances of international recognition. Hooper, whose contract expires in the summer of 2014, has been in talks over an extension to his current deal since the start of the season but it now appears the refusal of this latest offer could signal a move away from Parkhead during the transfer window. A source close to the player said: "Gary does not want to sign what has been offered as it's not on a par with the club's highest earners. Gary has never made any secret of his desire to play in the Premier League and this may now happen sooner than expected."
