Hibs Still Trying For Sheridan

21 July 2011 08:49
Colin Calderwodd is still working on getting his squad completed for the 2010-11 season. Hibs are still waiting for a response from CSKA Sofia over their attempts to sign former Celtic striker Cillian Sheridan. Manager Colin Calderwood was impressed while Sheridan was on trial but as he has two years left on his contract with the Bulgarian club, Sofia will want a return on their investment. Calderwood is also looking to secure international clearance for another trialist, Junior Agogo, to sign. Calderwood said: "We've made an offer to Cillian and his agent. But really the offer is to the other club, so they are digesting that and we are waiting to hear back from them." Agogo  played under Calderwood at Nottingham Forest and is a free agent after a spell in Cyprus with Apollon Limassol. Calderwood said: "Junior is still here - we are waiting for clearance to get him ready to be available for us. He is in good condition actually, so there was a little hold-up in not being able to play against Falkirk. But ongoing I think it will be very exciting for us."
