Sean O'Hanlon moves to the SPL. Hibs manager Colin Calderwood has moved to sign Sean O'Hanlon on a two-year contract following the his recent departure from MK Dons. Defender O'Hanlon was released by Dons boss Karl Robinson last month after the club's League One play-off loss to Peterborough United. O'Hanlon read the usual script given to a new signing. He said: "I'm really pleased to be joining Hibernian and I'm looking forward to the challenge of trying to win some silverware. Basically I want to help Hibernian challenge for cups, get into Europe and to compete well in the League. Colin Calderwood says he has been chasing me for a few years, so it is great to be able to sign for a manager that has shown such a lot of interest in me. I'm very fortunate this opportunity came about; Hibernian are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and it is a fantastic set-up." Calderwood went on: "Sean is an experienced player and a great professional with leadership qualities - I'm really pleased to have him on board for next season. He is another experienced voice in the dressing room and a good organiser on the pitch. He certainly complements what we already have in the squad and is an important addition."
