They say there is nothing to play for near the end of the season. That can't be true as Stenhousemuir are seeing benefits from working hard. Stenhousemuir are working hard at moving away from the bottom of the Second Division. They are currently sitting in ninth place, just two points behind Alloa and with a game in hand. Manager David Irons is impressed by his players efforts as the season draws to a close.     Home Away     Team PD P W D L F A   P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Livingston 30 15 12 3 0 37 11   15 9 2 4 28 16 38 68 2 Brechin City 29 13 8 3 2 31 16   16 5 8 3 24 17 22 50 3 Ayr United 29 16 9 3 4 22 19   13 5 1 7 27 29 1 46 4 Forfar Athletic 30 15 7 5 3 25 20   15 6 2 7 16 23 -2 46 5 Airdrie United 31 15 4 6 5 18 22   16 8 2 6 27 27 -4 44 6 East Fife 30 16 7 2 7 38 28   14 3 6 5 25 25 10 38 7 Dumbarton 31 15 6 2 7 27 25   16 4 3 9 17 38 -19 35 8 Alloa Athletic 31 15 4 6 5 24 26   16 4 3 9 20 34 -16 33 9 Stenhousemuir 30 16 7 3 6 27 20   14 1 4 9 12 29 -10 31 10 Peterhead 31 15 5 4 6 26 26   16 0 6 10 17 37 -20 25 Irons said:  "There is a real squad feel to the players at Ochilview and it has been a real squad effort to get us to a much improved position in the league. Guys like Paul Quinn and Chris McCluskey were involved for the first time in a wee while against Forfar on Saturday and they went out and did a great job. There has been no moaning from these guys and everyone has focused greatly on the job in hand and I have to say I am delighted with their efforts."
