Hamilton To Add To Their Midfield Options

24 January 2011 06:28
A couple of new faces are expected at New Douglas Park today. Hamilton will increase their squad by two today as two mystery midfielders will sign on the dotted line after agreeing deals over the weekend. No names have been announced as manager Billy Reid wants to see pen-on-paper first. Hamilton drew 1-1 with Inverness on Saturday after Mickael Antoine-Curier cancelled out Dani Sanchez's opener from the penalty spot. Reid has been pleased with the team's progress of late, but feels they need to start conceding silly goals at the back in order to pick up more points. He said: "We have agreed terms with two midfield players, but I don't want to say anything else on it as they've not yet put pen to paper. The deal is almost done and I'm expecting them in on Monday to complete everything. I've been pleased recently with the fact the team has stopped giving away cheap goals because if you do that then you put yourself in the position to win games. I think the forwards we have here will score goals. For me, it's now all about getting that little bit of solidity in the middle of the park."
