Good Time For A Win: Calderwood
Hibs have struggled for any kind of result - and would love to get the right one today against hearts Hibs manager Colin Calderwood has challenged his players to restore some derby-day pride. Sitting at the bottom of the SPL, the Hibees' record against Hearts does not make pleasant reading for the visiting fans, having gone seven games against their rivals without a win. But the Hibs manager is backing his reshaped squad, which will include on-loan Celtic right-back Richie Towell, to restore bragging rights to the Leith faithful. Calderwood said: "I know we are desperate to beat them and, for once, be able to walk through Edinburgh and Leith with a terrific smile on our face. We want to get the victory that our fans deserve. The pressure is increased because it is a derby game. These games are very localised but it also captures the imagination of the whole of Scotland and we need to shape ourselves up to do something we haven't done in a while. "There's an excitement about this game - a terrific atmosphere. I think we are as strong as we can possibly hope to be.'' A win over Paulo Sergio's side could put a very different hue on the fledgling SPL and will see the Easter Road side overtake Hearts in the standings as they move off the bottom of the table. It would also be a spectacular way to end a league malaise which has seen Hibs lose their last two game and drop to bottom in the table. Calderwood said: "The international break is coming up and it is the perfect time to send our fans away happy and contented after a win. First and foremost we need the three points. But to get them against Hearts and end this week with two wins out of three would be a massive step in the right direction. A win would bring such a groundswell of good publicity to the club. You almost can't imagine the benefit.''
