Good News Week For Butcher

08 September 2010 06:43
The extra recovery time available due to internationals has paid dividends for Inverness. Inverness boss Terry Butcher welcomed the news that three of his injured players are making good progress on the road top recovery. Thanks to the additional rest days provided by the international break, Richie Foran (knee) and Gil Blumenshtein (torn calf) have begun running stints again while groin strain victim Kevin McCann has seen a major improvement and could be ready to take on Hearts at home a week Saturday. Butcher said: "Richie and Gil are back running in training and that's a big step forward. They're still maybe two to three weeks away from playing but they're heading in the right direction now and that's very encouraging. Kevin's well on the mend and could even have had an outside chance of facing Hibs in Saturday's game at Easter Road, but he's ineligible in any case under the loan deal. But if he works hard, he should be fully fit for the Hearts game. The players are refreshed after their break so we're in good shape as we work towards the trip to Edinburgh."
