The Scotland - England rivalry will be on full pwoer next month as Glasgow City test themselves against two top English sides

Scottish Champions Glasgow City have lined up two friendlies  against English Super League teams in the next couple of weeks. City will take on Liverpool away from home on Sunday 12 February in the first of their pre-season glamour friendlies. The battle of Britain them commences a week later, on Sunday 19 February, when Scottish Champions City take on English Champions and one of Europe’s top sides, Arsenal at Petershill Park with a 2pm kick off. City played Liverpool last year in a pre-season game, with City running out 3-0 winners. Just seven days later and City welcome the mighty Arsenal to Glasgow in a game expected to be a real crowd pleaser. With some of the most famous faces in women's football in the Arsenal line up, City have the chance to test themselves against the best, as they gear themselves up for the start of the Scottish Women's Premier League in March. Commenting on his side’s forthcoming challenges, City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "Pre-season is a very important time for every club and whilst we have arranged some very challenging matches I think it’s fair to say that the ones against Liverpool and Arsenal will capture the imagination of the public. Of course the Arsenal game will be viewed as a Best of Britain game, however it’s important to treat it for what it is, a pre-season friendly, win lose or draw that's all it is."

It will be a cash gate for the Arsenal game on 19 February, Adults £5, Children and OAP’s £2. SPECIAL OFFER - If you buy your City season ticket on the day, you will get in to the game free. Season Ticket Costs £30 and guarantees entry to all Glasgow City domestic home League and Cup game for the entire 2012 season.
