For City’s national team players there is the added incentive of being in the play-offs for the European Championships in Sweden next summer and after drawing 1-1 with Spain in the first leg last Saturday at Hampden, Scotland face their Spanish opponents tonight in Madrid, knowing a win will guarantee them qualification to a major finals for the first time in our history. Emma Fernon, Rachel Corsie, Leanne Ross, Emma Mitchell, Eilish McSorley, Jane Ross and Jo Love are all in the Scotland squad and the whole of the nation is behind them and their team mates in getting the result they need. To celebrate City’s historic sixth successive title win and hopefully also to celebrate Scotland reaching the European Championships, City’s home match this Sunday against Aberdeen at Petershill Park, Springburn, is FREE ENTRY to all spectators. After the match, City will be presented with the Premier League trophy by Scotland National Manager Anna Signuel. Kick off is 2pm and all players will be available after the match for photos and autographs.
