Emma Fernon, Christie Murray, Douglas McCrea, Sir Ian Botham, Eddie Wolecki Black The Scottish Champions' players turned out to support the event along with City sponsor Douglas McCrea of McCrea Financial Services. Sir Ian Botham has raised vast sums of money for this wonderful cause over the last 27 years. The success rate for children with the most common form of leukaemia when Sir Ian started his was around 30%. Since then thanks to advances in medical research, partly funded by events such as the Great British Walk, this success rate has improved to 92%. Yesterday also saw Sir Ian joined by Celtic manager Neil Lennon and Partick Thistle manager Jackie McNamara as he kicked off his walks through a total of 10 UK cities.
