Mickael Antoine-Curier moved to Hamilton to play and does not like to be on the bence. Mickael Antoine-Curier reckons he has what it takes to drag Hamilton out of the relegation zone - if given a chance to show what he can do. He was unhappy at not being given a start on Saturday against Kilmarnock after securing a point from the penalty spot against Inverness. However, he responded in the right way when on as a substitute and managed to show manager Billy Reid what he is capable of by grabbing a late leveller to cancel out Conor Sammon's opener and earn a share of the points for Accies. The 1-1 draw took Hamilton to within two points of nearest rivals Hibs with two games in hand. Antoine-Curier said: "We are in a scrap and I'm up for that. I want to start, I want to play, I want to score. Hopefully I can keep the team up. There is no point looking at the table. The most important thing is that we don't lose games. We got a draw and it's a point even though we are disappointed not to win the game. But you can't fault the guys who are fighting and the confidence will be back. I was disappointed that I didn't start if I'm being honest. I don't know why I didn't, he didn't tell me anything and I was on the bench. I had a little bit of a sore groin after the game against Inverness but I've always said that I've come here to play and to score goals." Meanwhile, Sammon has been linked with a move to Derby but claims he is still in the dark over his future with the transfer window only open for the rest of today. He said: "To be honest, I've no idea what's happening. I'm not sure if the clubs are talking between each other. I was just focusing on the game, that's all I was thinking about. I'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm in no rush to move on. I'm very happy at Kilmarnock and I've got a fantastic manager who is helping me progress every week. He has shown a lot of confidence in me and I've taken that on board. I'm enjoying training and I'm loving games as well. We will just have to wait and see what happens but I'm very happy at Kilmarnock." Sammon's first-half gaol at New Douglas Park took his tally for the season to 18 so far. He said: "I'm delighted with that. I'm just taking it game-by-game and trying to add as many goals as I can and hopefully I can keep pushing on."
