Football Should Move With The Times.

While he may not appear to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, Scott Brown is right about football adopting technology. Scott Brown wants to see the introduction of technology to help referees make the right calls in the wake of England's controversial defeat to Germany at the World Cup. Celtic midfielder Brown was involved in games where two additional assistant referees were introduced in Europa League games last season and insists that is not the way ahead in eradicating poor decisions in future. He believes FIFA should now follow the lead of other major sports by introducing technology, with Frank Lampard's disallowed effort during England's 4-1 defeat to Germany being an excellent example of human error. Brown said: "I think it probably should be introduced but whatever happens, happens. You need cameras to be perfectly honest. The referees behind the goal just stood there and did nothing except from interfering with us really. They do it in rugby and tennis. It's the biggest sport in the world and to have a goal not allowed when it should be allowed, it costs clubs and teams money and maybe also the chance of getting through to the next round."
