Fit For Life Or Fit For Nothing

Do you want to fit the football strip and not the XXXL version? Read on Would you like to lose weight, get fitter and get more out of life with your local SPL club? If the answer is yes, why not get involved with Football Fans In Training (FFIT) which is run by the SPL Trust and the Football Pools.   FFIT is a 12 week physical activity and healthy eating programme designed to help men get fitter and lose weight, and to maintain these changes in the long term. It ran last year over most of the SPL clubs*, and is running this season with all the SPL clubs including Dunfermline and also Hamilton.  Following last season's very successful FFIT programme, the community coaches at your local SPL club are looking for men who feel a bit out of shape to sign up for the three FFIT programmes being run in 2011/12. Those men who completed FFIT last year lost a total of 1,202 kg in weight and 1,142 cm around their bellies. They loved the 12 week course "It's like a night out with the lads without the drink" and many said they looked forward to coming every week. You can register now for FFIT 2011/12 at your local SPL club if you are:  - Male  - 35-65 years   - With a BMI of at least 28 kg/m2  - Or a belly of at least 40 inches/trouser waist size of at least 38 inches  Get involved by calling 0800 389 2129, textingFFIT to 88802 or Email ffit@sphsu.mrc.ac.uk *The 13 clubs offering FFIT free of charge during 2011/2012 are: Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United, Dunfermline, Hamilton Accies, Hearts, Hibs, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Rangers, St Johnstone and St Mirren.
