First Team Football Is Quite A Draw

The grass is not always greener on the other side Darren Gribben had a 'road to Damascus' moment and has re-signed for Berwick Rangers after agreeing a move to First Division Hamilton Accies. Berwick manager Jimmy Crease said that the prospect of playing first team every week was the reason behind the change of heart. Crease went on: "Darren was our top goalscorer last season and I am delighted to have him back at the club. He spent pre-season training at Hamilton and was all set to sign for them until he had a late change of heart. He decided that playing football regularly was the most important thing to him and he felt that he would get that at Berwick. Everyone here is delighted to have him available for our Third Division campaign." Crease has also signed former Hibs, Airdrie and Albion Rovers midfielder Darren Smith and one-time Fulham striker Stuart Noble following his release from Alloa.
