Back up players need to keep up their skills and first team action is the place to do that - no matter what the team is.

Hibs goalkeeper Paul Grant has joined Third Division Berwick Rangers on a season long loan. The six foot one inch 'keeper was on the bench when the Easter Road side lost 5-1 in the Scottish Cup Final to Hearts in May 2012. He has only made the Hibs first team once and has been brought in as a replacement at Shielfield for Marc McCallum who has returned to Dundee United at the end of his loan spell.Borderers manager Ian Little said: "Paul will have the chance to get regular first team football at Berwick and that will aid his development."
