Farningham Back In Football

Ray Farningham couldn't have such a bad coach as one of his old players has recruited him to be his assistant. Ray Farningham has been named as Montrose Player/Manager Steven Tweed's new assistant at Links Park. The pair worked together at Tayside when centre back Tweed played there a decade ago and Farningham was his coach. The reunion was made possible as Farningham was available after being released from his job as Assistant Manager to Jocky Scott at Dens Park back in March.Tweed’s previous assistant and 'older head' Jim Moffat left last month and the Gable Endies boss said at the time a similar arrangement would be set up when he could find the right man for the job. Tweed said: “I am delighted to be bringing Ray Farningham to Montrose. He is a very respected throughout football and was recently in a full time position at a big club, so the players here will benefit enormously from his experience.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
