Clubs have to be alive to all sorts of insentives to keep the fans coming back. Stranraer have invested in the future with issuing free season tickets to primary school children and the club have been delighted with the response. Last weekend the new set of fans enjoyed a 3-2 win over Albion Rovers and the club are bracing themselves for more new arrivals. Stair Park Committee man Iain Dougan said: “We gave all the local schoolchildren in Primary 5,6 and 7 a season ticket free of charge and High School children a ticket for only £30. We have also given them a designated part of the ground to meet in that we call ‘The Coo Shed.’ We were delighted with the response last weekend and the atmosphere the children helped generate. The numbers are likely to go up as the schools in Stranraer are still closed this week with a lot of children still on holiday."
