Fans Back Falkirk's Future

More and more clubs are getting support from their fans and not just through the turnstile money The Falkirk Academy has received a welcome boost from the club's fans as the BairnsTrust will co-ordinate long-term fundraising arrangements. The initiative, the first of it's kind in the country, will allow fans to get closer to their club's future talent. Friday night saw Scotland's Under 16s draw with Wales Under 16s with three of the members of the Falkirk Academy representing Scotland. The ideal time for the initiative to be launched.  George Craig (MD) Gary Dowson (Head of Marketing) Ross Wilson (Head of Football Development )  Tom Paterson (BairnsTrust Chairman) and Craig McPherson (Academy Technical Director) Falkirk's Head of Commercial affairs Gary Dawson said: "Everybody at Falkirk FC is delighted to have secured the sponsorship  of this kind with our supporters. The partnership underlines the value of supporters by sponsoring their very own Academy. Their fantastic backing will provide the club's Academy with the much needed financial support to maintain the youth structure of the club for years to come." Tom Paterson, chairman of the BairnsTrust, said: "We are pleased to provide financial support to the Academy as this is an investment for the future. With one of the best, if not the best, set-ups in Scotland, it is vital that this is sustained and that we can continue to produce the stars of tomorrow."
