Elgin Defence Needs Shoring Up

18 August 2010 06:43
It is not a good start to the season having to look up from the bottom of the league. Elgin City lost six goals at Berwick at the weekend to slump to the bottom of the Third Division table. This required some action on the part of manager Ross Jack so he has brought in former Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Jamie Duff hoping he is the answer to the Black and Whites’s defensive troubles.  Twenty one year old Duff, who picked up a Scotland under-21 cap in November 2008, played 14 times for the Caley first team but has been out of the game for over a year after a cruciate ligament injury. Jack has secured his services for Borough Briggs side for the season.Jack said: "Jamie has had a horrific time over the past nine months with injury and I am hoping that this move is beneficial to both parties. Jamie will be able to improve our defence and we give him a platform to rebuild his career." Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba Net
