Drayton Park: Day Two

26 March 2011 10:20
Another day in that there London as we prepare for the game against Brazil. Another sunny day in Highbury and off to meet the DJ who will be entertaining the fans at the Drayton Park (AKA the Drayton Arms). With the sun belting down it was hard to believe it was still March. Sitting in the shade of the Arsenal 3-d sign opposite the pub, it was interesting to see the quite London street when not a match day. School kids wandering around, some really striking women, and of course the delivery vans for the local shops that are next to the pub. There may be a slightly different atmosphere today as the fans start arriving for the game tomorrow and a rather large difference to the scene on Sunday.Ryan Milo (AKA DJblues) seems to know what is required of him but I hope he is prepared for 600 drink-fuelled Scots demanding he play Flower of Scotland for the umpteenth time! If you like what you hear over the next two days at the Drayton, Ryan Milo can be contacted on his Facebook page (DJBluesMilo) or via email (Ryan_milo@hotmail.com). He is available for all events and can tailor the music to suit the occasion by playing all sorts of music from the seventies right up to date, R&B, House music and Karaoke. The Sun is shining this morning so here is hoping for a great warm-up day ahead of the main event. The Iru-Bru ice cream van and taxi will be at the pub today and I am linking up  with the PR people shortly to make sure we both get what we want out of the event.
