Do Keep Up Aunty!

The BBC make have the motto 'Nation Shall Speak Peace Unto Nation' but there could a mini-war if they don't get their facts right Eagle-eyed BBC Ceefax viewers in Ayrshire might be writing to points of view after the Corporation lost count of Beith's SFA Cup Round 2 win over Glasgow Uni. The Beeb does list the incredible EIGHT different home scorers but was still giving the final score as 7-1 in the early hours of Sunday. Maybe 58 goals in 15 ties was too much for Scottish Aunty to deal with but the 2nd Round this season was a strong advert for getting the early rounds of the cup back on the so called national broadcaster. A token report from the Junior club on Sportscene results was a poor substitute for a look at the goal fest and once again the caption carried 7-1 as the reporter told us 8-1.Picky picky I know but I have suffered David Currie in dignified silence and paid for the privilege too for some time now! The superbly named University player Olaf Olafsson was sent off by the way. Sunnybank and Bo'ness beat Albion Rovers and Queens Park respectively to complete a Junior hat trick in Round 2. Praise for a revised cup format?
