While Celtic are in pole position, El-Hadji Diouf is confident that it can still all change at the top El-Hadji Diouf is sure Rangers can still win the Scottish Premier League title despite their weekend humbling at Celtic. Rangers were comprehensively beaten 3-0 at Parkhead on Sunday, with a brace from Gary Hooper and a Kris Commons goal condemning them to a poor weekend. Rangers now trail by eight points at the top of the table although they have two games in hand and are still set to welcome Celtic to Ibrox one more time. Diouf said: "Of course it is still possible to win this title. The players have not given up and I don't believe our fans have given up either. Let Celtic fans think the season is over but our supporters believe in us and we need to keep going. We have a wonderful group of players. Bad results can happen but that was a one-off. We've got Celtic in the Scottish Cup, we've got them again in the League Cup final and then the biggest one of all is the league game at our place. If we win our two games in hand then beat Celtic at home we will be a point above them so how can anyone say it is over because of one result? One result means nothing. Trust me, I believe we are going to win this title and we will do it by sticking together. Sunday was a bad day but it's a long season and everything is still in our own hands. So it's not all over. It was just a bad performance. You just have to forget it and start thinking about the next big game." Former Senegal international Diouf is determined to win the title as a tribute to manager Walter Smith, who he describes as a "great coach". He went on: "We believe in the gaffer. He's a nice guy and a top manager. We need to keep going for him and make sure what happened on Sunday doesn't happen again. Before I came here everyone I spoke with who knew Walter said the same things - he's a great coach and a wonderful guy who has won a lot of trophies in his life. Everyone knows that. This is his last season with Rangers and it's up to the players to do it for him. I've heard a lot of people talking but these people forget the season is not finished yet. We still have two games in hand and we still have to play Celtic at our place. We have a wonderful chance. Me? I'm sure we are going to win the title. I'm positive about that."
