Sometimes you have to go back to make progress.

Midfielder Lee Croft has linked up with St Johnstone for training this week which could be a precursor to a return for a second spell at the club. The former Manchester City and Norwich player has been without a club since the summer. He spent some time with the Perth side on loan from Derby County in 2011/12 and was with Oldham Athletic last season.Manager Tommy Wright said: "I spoke with Lee a week ago and asked if he was interested in training with us and he was happy to do so. I know the calibre of the player and both parties will assess the next few days and make a decision in the next week to 10 days."
