Some stability for both player and club Midfielder Liam Craig has agreed to sign a two-year extension to stay in Perth with St Johnstone until May 2013 as his current deal was due to end this summer. Craig has made more than 100 appearances for Saints since moving to McDiarmid Park from Falkirk in 2007 . A statement for the club said: "The club is delighted to announce this afternoon that Liam Craig has signed a two-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Saints until the end of May 2013. The midfielder, signed from Falkirk for a tribunal-decided fee, has been pivotal in the side's success over the past few seasons and with his current deal due to expire in the summer all parties moved to secure his stay at McDiarmid Park."  Manager Derek McInnes said: "I’m delighted Liam has committed himself to the club. He sees St Johnstone as the place to develop his game and progress further and that’s great for me. He was my first signing and has been a big part of the progress we have made over the past few years but there is plenty of development to be done yet. Liam Craig can get better, he can improve – I would like to see him scoring goals more often - but he has a lot of attributes to work with. He is a good person to have around the place, he loves the club, is rarely injured and his stats add up. I’m delighted to have him signed up."
