It is hard to break into the first team when competing with tried and tested players Stirling Albion have released striker Derek Colquhoun just a few months after he made the step up from Falkirk Amateurs to the Forthbank side. Colquhoun hit a hat-trick as a trialist in a game against Rangers last autumn before then manager Allan Moore completed his signing in January.Colquhoun scored once for Albion in their 6-2 win over Brechin City. However, with Hearts striker Gordon Smith now on-loan and recent signing, Dutch striker Sylvano Comvalius, ahead of him in the queue for a starting place, Colquhoun and Albion have mutually agreed to a parting of the ways.
