UEFA have confirmed that a total 54 clubs have entered the competition. Thirty-two clubs will enter in the qualifying round and 22 will participate as from the round of 32. The clubs in the qualifying round will be drawn into eight groups of four teams. The eight group winners and two best runners-up will join the 22 best-ranked teams in the round of 32. The qualification round draw will take place at 2pm CET at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on 27th June. Commenting on his side’s seeding, potential host countries where City will go to play the qualifying round, along with his thoughts on progression, Glasgow City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "At this stage of season the tension and excitement begins to take hold. The exciting part is knowing that we will be in the forthcoming draw as the top seeds for the second season in a row. The tension is not knowing where we will be playing or who against. Last season we were in the group of death as we faced two other last 32 opponents and we were made to fight very hard to qualify as group winners. We then went out 2-1 on aggregate to Fortuna Hjorring and it's fair to say that it was a bitterly disappointed dressing room that night in Denmark. As a club we are determined to have another strong campaign and the great news for us this season is that we will be 14th seeds for the knockout stages if we can top our group, due to our strong co-efficient point ranking based on our previous performances in the competition. What this means is that by topping the group we will not have to face a top 16 team in the last 32 draw. This is a first for Scottish football and is a just reward for the players who have represented this club over the past few years. Firstly however, we have to find out our venue and opponents for the qualifying round and ensure we progress from there. Looking at the host countries and their rankings, we know that the possible venues for us are Holland, Slovenia, Northern Ireland, Portugal and a potential return to Finland, where we played last season."
