Glasgow City are never content to sit on their laurels as they continue to dominate domestic football in Scotland

Glasgow City have captured 19 year old Republic of Ireland striker Denise O'Sullivan for the seaon ahead and she will formally join City on the 17th July. She has signed from Cork Women's FC in Ireland and will begin preparations for the UEFA Women's Champions League with her team mates immediately. Regarded as one of the most exciting young players to have emerged from Ireland in recent years, Denise made her senior international debut at only 17 years of age. Denise's arrival follows the capture of Emily Thomson as City strengthen their squad for the exciting second half of the season and most importantly, the Champions League, which begins on 8th August.Commenting on securing Denise's signature, Glasgow City Head Coach, Eddie Wolecki Black said: "I first saw Denise play for Republic of Ireland against Wales back in 2011. It was her first team debut and she marked it by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win. Her overall performance that day caught not only my attention but captured the imagination of the crowd. Little did I think we would be working together less than two years later. Once I knew Denise was a potential signing for us I immediately asked the club to make it happen. It is to their immense credit that Laura (Montgomery) and Cas (Carol Anne Stewart) have managed to get her signature. Denise will report to training next week. She will add creativity, versatility and goals to our squad and there is no doubt her new team mates will benefit from her arrival. I am very much looking forward to working with Denise and wish her all the best with the club".
