Many hands make light work will be the saying adopted in Aberdeen

With Aberdeen making moves to build a new stadium while also playing football, the Pittodrie club have established four sub-groups under the board of directors to maintain progress. Chief executive Duncan Fraser announced the heads of each group which will feed into the full board with the recommendations and plans. He will be on each group to provide some commonality of purpose. Hugh Little has been charged with leading the football sub group, Colin Welsh the funding group, Ian Jack will front the operations division and the stadium delivery will be led by chairman Stewart Milne. Fraser said: "In addition to the many challenges facing the game at present, we also have the task of delivering the new stadium and associated facilities within a fairly tight time scale and this new approach will allow a concentration by all board members, who are all involved in at least one sub group, in the areas in which they specialise. As well as enabling the directors to employ a more 'hands-on' attitude, I am sure this new approach will inject a dynamism that will be crucial in such a challenging environment. Everyone involved in the sub groups, as well as the staff and supporters, will see the benefits of the new approach in the coming months."
