The SFA appear to eb listening to complaints regarding the appeals process The SPL has welcomed plans by the SFA to overhaul the disciplinary appeals system. SFA acting chief executive George Peat has announced he has taken steps to alter the current system by putting a proposal to the governing body's disciplinary committee for consideration. At the moment, a referee reviews his own decision before he chooses whether an appeal should be forwarded to a review panel. SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: "The news that George Peat has put forward proposals to improve the appeals system is very positive. Clearly our colleagues at the Scottish FA have been listening to the views of the clubs and the players and I genuinely believe that George's recommendations, if adopted, will improve the status quo. There has been some really good dialogue between us and the Scottish FA recently - long may this continue."
