Gary Locke will need to be introduced to his family as he may not recognise them after taking on the Hearts job. Locke has been in charge of first team affairs since John McGlynn was sacked in February and now has a contract until the end of next season. The added responsibilities has meant a big change in how Locke operates both at home and with the players. His is keen to see his side to secure their third consecutive win when they face Dundee at Dens Park today.Locke said: "The workload is incredible and you very rarely switch off. I have hardly seen my wife and three kids in the past couple of months. From being a coach to being in charge is totally different, you do have to distance yourself a bit. But I feel I still have a close relationship with the players and I would not want that to change. It will change a bit because you are the man with final team selection, after some discussions with my backroom staff. It comes down to me so there are maybe one or two boys who are not as happy with me as they would have been in the past, but that is something you have got to handle. But I see this as a fantastic opportunity at an unbelievable club and I am to take it with both hands."Locke knew that bottom side Dundee would be rejuvenated under manager John 'Bomber' Brown, who now has a two year deal with the Dens Park side, although it may be too late to save them from relegation. A win for Hearts today would consign Dundee to the First Division for 2013-14. He said: "They are playing exactly how I would expect from a John Brown team, they are all working very hard and he has done a magnificent job since he went in there and they are fighting for their lives. It will be a very different game from last week (against Kilmarnock), it will be a physical battle and we need to make sure we go up there and match that. I know Bomber and he is a great guy. People forget that he was at Rangers for a very long time and produced some top players, fantastic youngsters. And I admired the way John played the game - he was similar to myself, he was a winner and played through some horrific injuries. But he continually played through the pain and won numerous titles with Rangers. So it does not surprise me in the slightest that Dundee have picked up since Bomber went there. But my focus is on Hearts - it is a big game for us as well as we try to finish seventh."
