Each new season bring new challenges and you need to prepare as early as possible to meet them.

Annan manager Jim Chapman has started on his plans for the new season already by tying defender Steven Swinglehurst to the club for a further two years. The centre back joined the Black and Gold’s in January 2012, initially on loan, from Carlisle United and after making 33 appearances this season Chapman was pleased to get a longer deal in place.Galabank manager Chapman said: "Steven has a lot of potential and has shown the attributes we are looking for from the players at this club. The fans like his approach and we are looking forward to him developing further with us." For his part Swinglehurst added: "I have enjoyed my time at Annan and I am looking forward to helping them progress next season. Hopefully we will be challenging at the right end of the table."
