Buddies Out To Do The Same Again

St Mirren ended one manager's career at Celtic and want to make life difficult for his replacement St Mirren manager Danny Lennon fully expects namesake Neil to use reminders of the lat time the two sides met to fire up his players ahead of their game this weekend. The Buddies rang the death-knell on Tony Mowbray's ill-fated reign at Parkhead with a 4-0 win. The silver lining for Celtic's Lennon is that he managed to get promoted into the hotseat at Parkhead and he will do everything in his power to avoid a similar defeat on Sunday. The Buddies' Lennon said: "I actually saw the game that evening and St Mirren were on fire. There is no doubt, knowing Lenny, he will have that one fired up for them for the game coming up on Sunday. He's got his style and his mark on things now and Danny Lennon, likewise, has his mark on things at St Mirren. We will have a pop as much as we can with the resources we have and I'm hoping to go there and frustrate them and quickly get that crowd turned and try to use that as an advantage for us." There have been changes in managers and several players in both camps since that game butDanny Lennon believes Saints can still take confidence from the win ahead of the game at Parkhead. He said: "It lets you know that Celtic and Rangers are only human. They've just got a pair of legs and arms like anyone else. We've got to have 18 bodies turning up there on Sunday, we've got to have everybody mentally focused and in total control of their emotions on the day. It's very easy to go there and get sucked in like a rabbit crossing the road and getting caught in the headlamps. But they can't freeze. A lot of them got a flavour for it last week and I thought there was more pressure on them playing in front of 5,000 of their own supporters. This week, they won't have that and all the onus will be on Celtic." Asked if he can see a difference in Celtic since Neil Lennon took over as boss, Danny Lennon said: "I certainly can. First and foremost, he's got that passion back in them. Everybody goes on about what wonderful football players they are but their work-rate last night (against Utrecht) was exceptional. That was a big part that was missing. I'm not surprised that Lenny has continued on the back of the run last season. That's nine out of nine for him now in the league and he deserves it. He went in there not really knowing what he was going into and, in my opinion, they have made the right choice."
