Brown Targets A New Midfielder

Aberdeen better get ready to put their money where their mouth was when chasing Craig Brown. The transfer window being open this month allows managers to twist chairmen's arms to release some cash to augment the squad. Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is one such manager who was enticed to his new club with the promise of resources being made available. Now is the time for words to be back with with action as Brown has identified the need for a new midfielder. Yoann Folly has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his leg and damaging ankle ligaments in the 1-1 draw with Dundee United. Brown said: "The midfield has now become the urgent requirement for us. We had identified the area as one we needed to strengthen before Yoann suffered his injury, but with him not expected to return this season it has become vital for us to add reinforcements. With Yoann and young Fraser Fyvie both out long term, it leaves us very thin on the ground and we want to address the situation before the game with St Mirren if possible."
