Brown May Need Surgery

Nobody really wants to undergo surgery if it can be avoided.

Manager Neil Lennon has announced that Celtic captain Scott Brown will be seen by a specialist to determine whether or not he is to undergo surgery to deal with the abductor problem which meant he missed the 6-2 SPL home win over Dundee United. There is no chance that Brown will be heading to Perth to be involved in the re-arranged SPL game on Tuesday night. Brown has been bothered by an on-going hip problem this season which was thought at one time to require surgery, but both problems are to be addressed. Lennon said: "Scott will be seeing a specialist regarding his abductor and we will wait on the outcome of that. We will have a look at what he had before and he might require surgery, we are not sure yet, we will see what the specialist says but hopefully that won't be the case."
