Pre-season games lined up by Berwick Rangers already. Peter Beardsley will be bringing a Newcastle United XI to Shielfield to take on Berwick Rangers on Saturday, 16 July. This is one of three games the Borderers have arranged for the pre-season. Jimmy Crease’s side will also welcome Hibs, with Easter Road manager Colin Calderwood promising to bring a strong side, on Saturday, 2 July before meeting First Division Hamilton Accies on Friday, 8 July with a 7.45pm kick-off. Entry prices for each game with be £10 for adults and £5 for children, however fans can see all three games with a special ticket which will be available at £25 and £12 respectively.
