Blumen Injury!

Not much of a debut for Gil Blumenshtein Inverness new boy Gil Blumenshtein looks to be due a spell on the sidelines, until the end of September, with a torn calf muscle. The young Israeli midfielder made his SPL debut on Saturday when he came on as a second-half substitute against Celtic but had to limp off injured himself 16 minutes later. Manager Terry Butcher said: "The medical verdict is that Gil has a torn calf muscle and will be out of action for four to five weeks. It's a setback for us and a real disappointment for a lad who has been working hard and doing fine since joining us. It was hardly the ideal start to his Scottish career. Club captain Richie Foran is still another four weeks away from recovering from his knee injury sustained against Royal Antwerp. But we have to let that injury take its time as there's a long season ahead. Better news is that the medical report is that the rib injury picked up by Johnny Hayes against Celtic isn't too serious and he should be all right for Sunday's visit to Dundee United."
