Blue Brazil Willing To Talk

Published: 25 Aug 2011 - 08:44:29

Cowdenbeath want to keep their fans appraised of progress. We have been watching Second Division Cowdenbeath for some time with their ambitions and difficulties over moving to a new stadium. The latest update for their fans will be made available during a public meeting to be held next week to allow chairman Donald Findlay QC to update interested parties on issues on and off the field. The meeting, which will include a question and answer session, is being held in the upstairs lounge of the Partners Bar in High Street, Cowdenbeath on Thursday, 1 September and will begin at 7.00pm. A club statement said: "A new Cowdenbeath Football Club has begun to emerge over the last 12 months and is now run by a consortium of supporters' and local business people with the best interests of the club and the community at heart. We all have a shared vision to see the Club established as a truly community-based and thriving football club - run by the people, for the people of the wider Cowdenbeath community - and located at a new community stadium while operating on a financially sustainable basis. There are considerable challenges ahead but progress has already been made. The club's long-term future will depend on the continued and increased commitment of the supporters' and the local community."
