All clubs want to have a decent squad for the new season and it could be that just two or three will allow the squad to gel

Peterhead manager Jim McInally has made three signing as he builds his squad for an assault on the Third Division next season. The Balmoor manager has signed left back Steven Noble from Stranraer, brought back Dundee United youngster Ross Smith on loan and given his former East Stirling player Darren Kelly a deal at the Blue Toon. McInally said: "I am delighted that Steven is joining us as he is a player I have always admired since he was a kid at Kilmarnock. I reckon he will be a great addition to our squad. Ross was with us last season in a one month emergency loan deal and during that he began to play really well." McNally knows what Kelly can do as he played for Peterhead briefly last season with McInally going on: "Darren came on as a substitute at an Annan game. He has also trained with us but I know what he can bring from my East Stirling days. He played Junior for most of last season and his versatility will be great."
