Berwick Up For The Challenge

09 January 2011 10:51
There is quite a gap between the two sides who meet at Shielfield Park today Berwick Rangers will put goalkeeper Mark Peat through a fitness test ahead of the home game with Celtic in the Scottish Cup fourth round. Midfielder Stuart Callaghan remains sidelined with an ankle problem for Jimmy Crease's side, who have only played once since knocking out Cove Rangers in the last round on November 20. Crease said: "If Mark is not quite right, Ian McAldon will come in and I have no qualms about that as he is a fine keeper as well. We had a bounce game against Tranent this week and it would be amazing to go from that to potentially beating Celtic, although you do not need to tell me who difficult a game this will be.'' Celtic have captain Celtic Scott Brown back available for selection following his suspension. Manager Neil Lennon is thinking about giving new signing Freddie Ljungberg his debut after he missed out on last week's game against Rangers with a virus.
