International managers always have to deal with changes to his plans with new players added to his squad

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has had to cope with the inevitable withdrawals from his squad for the games against Wales and Serbia. James Morrison was added to the list who will not be involved alongside Ross McCormack, James Forrest and Danny Fox. The gap created by Morrison's withdrawal, due to a hamstring injury playing against Stoke at the weekend, has been filled with the call up of Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan.Strachan had already called up Norwich City defender Steven Whittaker as the former Celtic and Middlesbrough manager prepares for his first competitive game as national team boss with the visit of Wales to Hampden on Friday night. McCormack had to head home because of illness ahead of last month's friendly win over Estonia. This time around he missed Leeds' game against Huddersfield on Saturday after suffering a head injury in their previous npower Championship game against Peterborough. Fox, meanwhile, sat out Southampton's last two games after going off with a thigh injury in their defeat by QPR earlier this month. Celtic manager Neil Lennon confirmed at the weekend that Forrest would miss the international double-header with a back injury.
