Bamba Deal Too Good To Refuse

Colin Calderwood has been watching the Godfather too much Hibs' manager Colin Calderwood admitted the deal to sell Sol Bamba to Leicester was an offer too good to refuse with the defender's time at the club coming to an end. Bamba completed a reported £250,000 move to Leicester on Sunday and will link up with his former Ivory Coast manager Sven-Goran Eriksson. The ambitious Bamba was odds-on to leave the club when his contract expired in the summer anyway and Calderwood will now have some money to reshape his squad during this month's transfer window. Calderwood said: "Sol's transfer happened very quickly. We had an offer and we came to an agreement with the club. It was an opportunity with the situation - Sol's contract was running down - for a good deal for the club. We wish Sol all the very best and we hope he continues to be successful. A terrific move for him, but also a good move for ourselves because it was a good bit of business."
