Falkirk want to spoil the good start made by Raith Rovers

David Weatherston has overcame a hamstring injury to be included in the Falkirk squad for the first time this season for the visit of Raith Rovers. The Bairns lost on the opening day of the league season to Partick Thistle and technical director Alex Smith is looking for his side to bounce straight back. He said: "We lost goals at bad times in that game which cost us the points but to be fair to the players they never gave up. Raith have started the season well and scored a few goals so we need to play very well to win this one. The games between the sides are usually very tight and I cannot see this one being any different but hopefully we will do enough to win.'' Raith 'keeper David McGurn was sent off against Montrose in midweek but he can still be considered for today's game as his suspension will be served in the Ramsdens Cup. Player-manager Grant Murray will need to pass a late fitness test if he is to be included with everyone else in the Stark's Park squad fit and available for selection. Murray said: "We have made a good start to the season with four wins in a row but we have only played one league game so we will not be getting carried away. Falkirk will be looking to hit back after losing to Partick last weekend so it will be an exciting game. We need to keep doing well in attack and tighten up at the back to do anything.''
