You need competition to keep players on their toes

Stenhousemuir Manager Martyn Corrigan has moved to fill the gap in his squad created when goalkeeper Robbie Thompson returned to Celtic at the end of his three month loan deal. The Warriors manager has signed former Parkhead and Hearts Youth team shot-stopper Connor Fairley who has also played for both Airdrie United and Icelandic side Einherji Fairley, who played 12 times for the Diamonds last season, has signed a short term deal to keep him at Ochilview until the end of the season. Fairley will provide a challenge to Callum Reidford for a starting place in the first team. Corrigan felt he needed to make his move as regular back-up 'keeper Dean Shaw picked up an injury which will keep him out of action until next year.
