A break may be the answer for Stephen McKeown to overcome all his injuries and get a new deal with Partick Stephen McKeown has been released by Partick Thistle after an injury hit two year spell at the club. However, Thistle manager Ian McCall would be delighted to see the midfielder back at Firhill fit for action and ready for pre-season training. McCall said: “Before Stephen was injured he made a tremendous contribution for the club and he has been invited to join us for pre-season training. I do believe that he is among the best in his midfield role in this division, however he has become increasingly frustrated with the series of injuries that he has had.
