Back In The Saddle Again
John McCormack wants to get back into football as soon as possible. Former Dundee and Morton boss John McCormack is he will appear attractive to the Arbroath board in the search for a new manager. He is unemployed at the moment which would save any compensation issues if he were to be appointed. McCormack is keen to get back into football, after a short spell at Clyde ended in April, and having been interviewed when Jim Weir was appointed to the Gayfield hot-seat last Autumn, McCormack is hoping to go one better this time out. He said: “This is a crucial time in the football calendar as players are coming out of contract and plans are getting made for pre-season so I suppose Arbroath can not take too long in making an appointment. The interview went well back in October and if the opportunity came around to manage them this time, I would be on my way there straight away.” The extrovert McCormack, nicknamed Cowboy, has had a managerial career full of ups and downs, however he maintains his love of the game.
