Gordon Chisholm has linked up with Gordon Durie at East Fife

Gordon Durie has appointed former Queen of the South and Dundee manager Gordon Chisholm as his assistant at New Bayview. Chisholm is a ex-team mate of the East Fife’s newly appointed manager but has been out of football since he was released by the Dens Park club when they went into administration 18 months ago. Chisholm took the Doonhamers to the Scottish Cup Final in 2008 and is delighted to be back in the game. He said: "I played with ‘Jukey’ at Hibs when I returned to Scotland in 1985 from Sunderland. We have remained pals ever since then and I was delighted when he gave me a call to discuss a role at East Fife. I came through on Tuesday night and had a look about and met the players and it was a really easy decision to make. There is a good set up and good players at East Fife. There is still a place in the play-offs up for grabs so I cannot wait to get started against Dumbarton on Saturday." Chisholm’s former number two at the Dark Blues, Billy Dodds, will also help out when his other commitments allow with Chisholm saying: "Gordon is happy for Billy to help out in a coaching capacity when his media work allows him too and like me he cannot wait to get going."
