Registration issues have to be clarified before Danijel Subotic can sign. St Johnstone manager, Derek McInnes is working hard to cut through the red tape to allow striker Danijel Subotic to join him in Perth. The Croatian, who had a spell at Portsmouth as a youngster, has impressed McInnes and the club have confirmed they are looking to sign the player. The Perth side are now working with SFA and FIFA officials in a bid to complete the paperwork so Subotic can sign in time for their first game of the SPL season at Aberdeen on 23 July. A statement from the club read: "A three-month stint with Romanian club Universitatea Craiova has muddied the waters in terms of the player's paperwork but hopes are high that this can be resolved in order that the 22-year-old can be taken on."
