Albion Rovers enjoyed the contribution of Mark McGuigan while it lasted

Partick Thistle have denied Albion Rovers the services of striker Mark McGuigan after they called him back after a run of injuries at Firhill. The former Scottish Universities striker notched up three goals for the Second Division Coatbridge side and he has headed back to Firhill with warm words of praise from their manager Todd Lumsden. He said: "Partick wanted him back and there is not much you can do in those circumstances although I did want him to stay. Mark was great for us as he gave a real cutting edge to our play at a time when we lacked one and he was great at holding the ball up. I would like to wish him well at Partick Thistle."
