Another Manager Bites The Dust

But this time at his own hand and not by mutual agreement. Stevie Crawford has resigned from his managerial post at East Fife in the wake of their 3-1 home defeat by Forfar at the weekend. This does not mean he has packed his boots and moved on, as he will stay at the club as a player for now. Crawford was appointed as manager in April 2009, six months after joining the club, when Dave Baikie left within a year of winning the Third Division title. The Fife side are sitting in eighth place in the Second Division, five points ahead of bottom placed Dumbarton. However, they have failed to win since beating Dumbarton 6-0 at the end of August.A spokesperson at New Bayview said: “We would like to thank Stevie for his efforts on behalf of the club during his time as Manager and he remains as a registered player for East Fife.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is ScottishFitba Net
