Many hands make light work The close season allows a lot of maintenance work to be carried out while football grounds are not being used for their main purpose. Not every club can afford to bring in companies to do this vital work. East Fife, like many others, are looking for volunteers to help with the upkeep of their New Bayview ground before the start of the new season. A club spokesperson said: "The club would be grateful to any volunteer who can give us a hand with painting and cleaning seats. We do have a band of volunteers at the moment but they are very stretched and could do with some help and we would be delighted to hear from anyone who can help out."
